I wanted to share with you something that I started, to capture the beautiful memories of love and life to share with my little girl.
Hey, my Britzie's, I know it's been a while but what can I say....life happens. On that note I wanted to share with you something that I started, to capture the beautiful memories of love and life to share with my little girl.
Contrary to the title I have not written any letters it is a journal with entries from me sharing memories, a lot of love and tons of advice. Think of it as a chickens soup kind of book but my own personal version.
I started this journal shortly after my daughter was born. Once you have a child the fact that you are not immortal really kicks in and you have all sorts of worries and fears. One of my many fears is leaving my daughter before she is old enough to really remember me or remember the special moments we shared. So I thought instead of having anyone share these things with her I could leave her something from me. I also wanted to share with her advice on life-based on the many life lessons I have learnt over the years. I have always loved journaling and that was how it all started.
If I am blessed with a long life then it is something we can share and speak about when she is older. I would love to give it to her on her wedding day or when she has a baby of her own. (When I think of this I picture that one recipe book that gets passed down from generation to generation. This would be our recipe book one that she could add to and pass on. A recipe book of love and advice.)
Here is a little snip of one of my many journal entries...

Hi baby girl, Today is Monday and it is so hot that I have you chilling in a little shorts because you have learnt how to take your nappy off. Oh and let's not forget your little pink Rambo ribbon tied around your head haha. Right now you are trying to climb over me to get to the pen. You are one determined little person. Absolutely nothing holds you back. You my dear are a force to be reckoned with. I hope that you never let this fire in you die down. Stir your soul my child, explore everything. Live a colorful life, Follow your dreams. Live a life that makes you happy. One that you are proud of. Always stay true to yourself. Be your biggest supporter and remember that no matter what I will always have your back.
Love you always and forever
Your Mama
As time goes on I will share a few more of these letters with you all. Happy reading
Much love my Britzie's XOXO
